- ➤ About 50 people gathered at Wooster Nazarene Church today to pack 400 red and green shoe boxes—made for children worldwide for Christmas. The Daily Record
- ➤ Scout Troop 68 helped unload ballots at the Wayne County Board of Elections on election night—continuing a long-standing tradition of community service. The troop also supported local events by assisting with downtown celebrations and handing out hot chocolate, teaching the Scouts responsibility and accountability. The Bargain Hunter

- ➤ Jarrett, an Orrville-based logistics company, held its second annual companywide pickleball tournament that featured 34 teams and 68 employees, growing from 29 teams last year; local players from Wooster placed second and the event boosted teamwork and cross-department connections (the company now employs 357). - ➤ Orrville’s Salt & Honey, a family-owned store, will join Pink Friday on Nov. 21 by offering specials, giveaways & community events to help shoppers support small businesses before the Black Friday rush. - ➤ Aultman College (located next to Aultman Hospital) is hosting a free Preview Day open house on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. where prospective students can tour campus facilities, attend program presentations, and meet faculty, staff and students; reservations are required. The Bargain Hunter
- ➤ At Walnut Creek Elementary, third-graders held their annual living wax museum on November 14 by dressing as famous figures like Stan Lee and Queen Elizabeth II—raising funds for classroom and school projects. - ➤ The Wayne County Health Department warned families to stop using all ByHeart infant formula after a recall was issued over a potential botulism risk, with Ohio reporting four suspected cases since November 8. Caregivers must seek immediate medical attention if infants show symptoms — including constipation, poor feeding, loss of head control, difficulty swallowing and reduced facial expressions. - ➤ The Early Pregnancy Loss Association has delivered over 5,000 miscarriage care kits nationwide since launching in 2018 and will soon send 230 kits to hospitals, clinics and OB offices in Northeast Ohio—supported by local volunteer groups in Wayne, Holmes, Stark and Tuscarawas counties.
