- ➤ Wayne County Public Library will receive a $10,000 gift from Carnegie Corporation of New York to fund a Preservation Station where locals can preserve and share their history. The donation is part of Carnegie Libraries 250, a national initiative honoring libraries built by Andrew Carnegie. The Daily Record

- ➤ Grocery stores will have reduced hours for Thanksgiving Day, Nov 27, with Kroger and Giant Eagle closing at 3 p.m. and Meijer open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stores like Walmart, Costco, Target, and Aldi will remain closed (their in-store pharmacies will also be closed). The Daily Record

- ➤ The Wayne County Health Department urged parents to stop using all ByHeart brand infant formula products after a recall linked to botulism was announced following four suspected cases in Ohio since Nov. 8—no cases have been reported locally. The Daily Record

- ➤ During last week's OHSAA regional semifinals, Dalton, Smithville and Triway ended their 2025 football seasons. Smithville marked its first 10 win season since 2004 — Dalton rallied after injuries before falling in the semis, and Triway posted a 10 to 2 record — as each team closed a season of strong play.
