- ➤ Wayne County Airport hosted its annual Halloween event with a record 375 trick-or-treaters who enjoyed a safe, fun, and educational celebration. Pilots dressed in costumes and donated candy while families gathered among the hangars—this event aligned with Smithville’s Trick-or-Treat night. The Daily Record
- ➤ Dundee United Methodist Church will hold its 47th annual Spaghetti Supper on Nov 8 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at state Route 93 in Dundee; the meal (spaghetti with homemade meat sauce, applesauce, bread, a drink and dessert) will help raise funds for local outreach and Samaritan’s Purse shoebox efforts. - ➤ The Wayne County Health Department and Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank will hold a drive-thru food pantry on Monday, Nov. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 244 W. - ➤ The 12th annual Indian Valley Cross Country Craft Show will be held at Indian Valley Middle School in Tuscarawas on Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., where local artisans will sell crafts and homemade food and raffles will help fund the cross country teams. - ➤ A former scrap yard at the corner of Mechanicsburg, Liberty and Old Mansfield roads was acquired by a local partnership to become the new headquarters for 5 Star Lawn Care & Landscaping and a future materials center. The group began cleaning and repairing the property in September and plans to have 5 Star fully operating by December — sales of landscape supplies will start in spring. The Bargain Hunter
- ➤ PRC-Saltillo has acquired Avaz, a company known for its multilingual AAC app, to boost its global reach in communication technology.
