- ➤ Young bakers raised $11,800 at the Wayne County Fair auction using nearly 50 entries of cookies, cakes and pies to fund scholarships and support junior fair activities—attendees also benefited from a family and consumer sciences exhibit that featured hands-on demonstrations and expert presentations during the fair from Sept. 6 to 11. - ➤ St. Mary Church in Wooster will host a six‑week program called Catholics Returning Home—designed for lapsed Catholics to reconnect with their faith—starting Oct. 13 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall at 527 Beall Ave. The Daily Record
