- ➤ After a 1-0 win over Wooster on Tuesday, the Madison Rams claimed sole possession of first place in the Ohio Cardinal Conference with a 5-0-1 league record. They will face Lexington on Sept. 30 in a must-win game to clinch the championship. The Daily Record
- ➤ Ohio high school football players showed great skill in Week 5 as Lexington’s Joe Caudill threw a touchdown pass and returned an interception for a score in the Minutemen’s 42 to 14 win over Wooster—players statewide posted standout runs and catches in games that tested their speed.
