- ➤ Wooster’s community calendar lists live music at Public Square today, a Saturday farmers’ market, baseball talks, support groups, car shows and concerts scheduled through October — offering local options for every interest — and brings together activities for families and neighbors. - ➤ The Veterans and First Responders Jamboree will take place at Sally Buffalo Park by Wallace Lodge from Sept. 6 to Sept. 13. The event features a 22 for 22 Walk, 5K run, live music, family activities and mental health support—providing free breakfast for veterans and community contests. The Bargain Hunter
- ➤ Friends of Wooster Memorial Park starts its fall hiking challenge on Sept. 1 and runs until Nov. 30 to invite locals to walk the park’s 465 acres and 11 miles of trails. Hikers who walk 10 or 30 miles will get rewards — a pin or a magnet — and may join by renewing their membership for $10 until 2026. The Daily Record

- ➤ The fourth annual Dale’s Overdose Awareness Day Narcan Drive will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31 at Schellin Park in Wooster to honor lives lost to overdose and offer free Narcan, fentanyl test strips, and hygiene kits, along with family activities such as bounce houses, face painting, snow cones and free haircuts—a community event to provide hope and help.
