- ➤ The FDA has issued a recall for frozen shrimp sold at Walmart in 13 states including Ohio after tests found possible contamination with Cesium-137, a radioactive chemical that can pose health risks. - ➤ Today, Pomerene Hospital was honored with the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines Rural Stroke Bronze Award for showing better stroke care in the community during July 1 through Sept. 30, 2024 (the award recognizes strong efforts in rural stroke treatment). The Bargain Hunter

- ➤ On August 19, the Hiland boys soccer team beat Smithville 4-1 as Noah Troyer scored twice while Christian Mullet and Blake Stutzman added goals and Chase Coblentz saved twice. The girls soccer team won 5-0 over Northwestern—Minka Mullet scored twice—and the boys and girls golf teams showed strong play with a 149-201 win over Tusky Valley and a 173-223 loss to Garaway.
