Good morning, Wooster.

The League of Women Voters of Wayne County will host a free forum on human trafficking on Aug.

25 at 7 p.m. in Wooster at the Crown Room of the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center—where Joe Morbitzer and Gayle Byrne will explain how police and community groups are fighting the crime.

Stargazers in Wooster can see a planetary parade of six planets from today until August 20 — Andrew Fazekas of Astronomers Without Borders said the event offers a rare final chance this year to view Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus in the early evening sky.

Barry Romich, president of the Romich Foundation, was named Ohio’s 2025 Local Library Champion Award recipient by the Ohio Library Council and will be honored in November at Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland—his support has given Wayne County libraries new tech and makerspaces including Maker Carts and the Joyful Café that provides jobs to adults with developmental disabilities.
