ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, Shreve Lake reopened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony & 1,500 catchable bluegill were stocked for anglers after a two-year restoration, and plans call for more fish to be added this fall and next spring. The Daily Record
FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ Capital One will pay $425 million to customers who had a 360 Savings account between Sept. 18, 2019 and June 16 due to low frozen interest rates. Account holders must file a claim by Oct. 2 (final deadline) to receive payments (calculated at the higher rate). The Daily Record
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Falls Prevention Program of Holmes & Wayne will host seven trail walks in September to help adults 60 and older prevent falls by teaching exercises and boosting balance. One walk in Wooster at Oak Hill Park is set for Sept. 15 so residents can join and build strength. The Daily Record

- ➤ High school football season has started and the Wooster Daily Record will update weekly with preseason analysis—covering returning players and game highlights from teams in Wayne and Holmes County. The Daily Record
