- ➤ Local festivals in August and September offer many activities—Doylestown's Rogues' Hollow Festival features a parade, a 5k run and fireworks today; Creston Ox Roast runs on August 9; Killbuck Early American Days is set from August 30 to 31; Berlin's Harvest Festival and Rib Cook Off takes place from September 5 to 6; Sugarcreek's Swiss Festival is held from September 25 to 27; Woosterfest runs from September 26 to 27; and Loudonville's Great Mohican Pow-Wow is scheduled from September 12 to 14. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gas prices in Ohio last week rose to an average of $3.09 per gallon for regular fuel, up from $2.89, a 10-cent increase since last month according to the EIA—prices that are 0.9% lower than the national average. The Daily Record
- ➤ Ohio's sales tax holiday starts today and runs until Aug. 14—items costing $500 or less, including clothing, electronics, and home goods, are tax-free—and qualifying online orders from retailers like Amazon and Walmart benefit. Exclusions cover higher-priced items—such as motor vehicles, watercraft, alcohol, tobacco and vape products—and other exceptions. The Daily Record
