- ➤ Ohio will hold a two-week sales tax holiday from Aug. 1 to Aug. 14 where most items costing $500 or less, including eligible Amazon orders, will be tax-free. Excluded items include vehicles, alcohol, and tobacco—officials say the measure will help families shop for back to school. The Daily Record
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Starting Aug. 4, Wooster will receive WaGo, a new transit system that replaces the taxi pass and bus loop program, offering fixed and flexible routes with fares from $1 to $10 available by phone, app, and online — the service is funded by federal, state, and local dollars and will initially serve Wooster and its one-mile area before expanding across Wayne County — as drivers begin training and community education efforts roll out. - ➤ Wooster residents must mow grass before it exceeds 10 inches and secure a zoning certificate for garage sales, accessory structures and large RVs—rules set by the city to avoid fines.
