The Wayne County Health Department is hosting a pop-up food pantry on July 14 at its Wooster location (244 W.
South St.) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to provide grocery assistance to eligible families in partnership with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank.
A new white oak was planted in Burbank on July 4 to honor the nation's 250th anniversary and celebrate local history, with officials + residents gathering and reflecting on the town's past along Kilbuck Creek.
The tree is intended to serve as a future gathering place.
Residents are urged to verify calls, texts, or door visits from supposed utility representatives and check official bills (using trusted customer service numbers) before paying during extreme weather.
Be cautious of payment requests via prepaid debit cards or wire transfers.
