- ➤ On June 7, three young artists received gift cards from Dalton Dari-ette for their entries in the Dalton Friends of the Wayne County Public Library contest & an adult member won a Kindle reader, while members also voted to raise the price of shred bags to support library programs and supplies. - ➤ John Lorson recalled how he learned to love gardening after restoring a cherished wheelbarrow he inherited from his mentor Jovach this spring. He spent an afternoon replacing its handles and hardware to keep the legacy of his mentor alive. The Bargain Hunter
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Athletes from Wooster and Ashland competed at the state track meet in Columbus where veteran Maryn Erdman finished third in the 800 after her right knee tightened plus Tess Shultz won the 1600 as newcomers Dakota Kruty and Hayden McFadden gained key experience. Erdman said she will regroup for the upcoming cross country season and aims to regain her title next year. The Daily Record
