- ➤ The fourth annual Secrest Garden Fair will be held on Saturday, June 7, at Secrest Arboretum at 2122 Williams Roard in Wooster, where over 50 juried artists and crafters, children's activities, a plant sale and food trucks will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.—Master Gardener volunteers will lead free tours of the 110-acre grounds at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and offer workshops on gardening topics. - ➤ The County Line Historical Society in Wayne/Holmes will hold its annual spring fair-style BBQ drive-thru at Shreve Auto Repair, 298 N. Market St., starting at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 7. The event serves half chicken for $8 and half chicken dinners for $12 with proceeds used to support the museum's work—enter the drive-thru from Robinson Street. The Daily Record

- ➤ Dalton defeated Hillsdale 6-3 in the Division VI regional semifinal for its third win against the rival. Catcher Kenna Doty drove in two runs and pitcher Mei Simmons kept Hillsdale’s hitters in check—coach Rob Fiesler said the team’s focus helped them advance to face Columbia Station in Friday’s final. - ➤ A reporter from Wooster will run the 26.2 mile course at the Mohican Trail Marathon in Loudonville this weekend—he is competing in a major trail race.
