- ➤ A new shelter built at Barnes Preserve today by Eagle Scout Wyatt Moore (from Troop 4061) gives visitors protection from rain and storms. The project took over a month of planning with donated materials and volunteer help to meet a long-standing need in the area. The Daily Record

- ➤ AAA reports that gas prices in Ohio reached a four-year high of $4.76 a gallon ahead of Memorial Day weekend, making state fuel costs among the nation's priciest as 39.1 million people plan to drive. The national average is $4.56 a gallon. The Daily Record
