- ➤ During National Volunteer Week from April 20th to 26th, the Wayne County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center held an appreciation day to thank its volunteers. Volunteers like Cherokee Adams + Heidi Post care for the dogs by feeding, grooming, and walking them to help find them homes. The Bargain Hunter

- ➤ Ohio Star Theater will debut a new Bible musical called The Road to Damascus a Musical Journey Through the Book of Acts on May 14 and will run through Nov. 4 at its Dutch Valley campus on Old Route 39 — the show focuses on Saul's change to Paul and features a creative team led by Artistic Director Tammie McKenzie. - ➤ Wooster voters rejected a $67.7 million bond issue to fund a new middle school on Tuesday, forcing Wooster City Schools to reconsider its plans for upgrading aging facilities. Superintendent Gabe Tudor said the district will evaluate the results and gather feedback to decide next steps—leaving the future of the facility improvements in question. The Daily Record
