- ➤ The Wooster Friends of the Library celebrated National Library Week on April 22 by touring the 101-year-old Cleveland Public Library and visiting the Museum of Art to see world-class exhibits (membership details are available at the display case). The Daily Record

- ➤ Wayne County 4-H Jr. Leaders visited Certified Angus Beef Culinary Center in Wooster on Monday, Apr. 6, where they learned steak preparation, meat identification and career skills from experienced staff—gaining hands-on insights in fields from Food Business Management to Meat Science. - ➤ Northwestern FFA members excelled at the Ohio Spring Dairy Expo in Columbus on April 1, where Kaylee Cherry earned 2nd place and qualified for the Big E competition in Massachusetts — a result that showcases their skills in dairy management. The Daily Record

- ➤ On April 29, the Ohio Wildlife Council approved the 2026 to 2027 deer hunting and trapping seasons, updated bag limits in select counties, and expanded chronic wasting disease surveillance areas affecting private & public hunts.
