- ➤ The Ohio State ATI Greenhouse Spring Plant Sale will be held May 8 and May 9 from noon to 4 p.m. at the ATI Greenhouse on 1328 Dover Road, Wooster—students in the greenhouse management program have prepared a range of plants for local shoppers. The Bargain Hunter

- ➤ Amazon's ULA Atlas V rocket launched Project Kuiper satellites from Cape Canaveral on April 28 at 7 p.m. ET, and some viewers in Ohio may have seen the rocket about 5.5 minutes after liftoff—weather permitting. The Daily Record

- ➤ Paul Seling, a Wooster parent and district graduate, wrote a letter urging residents to support a bond issue that will fund a new middle school and let the district forgo expensive repairs on the aging Cornerstone building—opening the door for a new use of the space. He asked for a yes vote on May 6 to secure better learning environments for our students. The Bargain Hunter
- ➤ Berlin Elementary recently became an officially registered Leader in Me Lighthouse School after a review on March 17—meeting all required leadership, culture and academic standards, principal Darren Blochlinger said. The school will continue its Leader in Me program and now welcomes other schools to learn from its approach. The Bargain Hunter

- ➤ Dandelions are sprouting in Ohio lawns this spring as warm weather brings them out from April to June — homeowners can remove them with selective herbicides or pull them by hand, or keep them to support bees and birds and even use them for food and tea. Experts say that while these yellow blooms may seem like weeds, they also add benefits to the soil and local wildlife. The Daily Record
