ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Town and Country Fire Chief Adam Hory and OSHP Wooster Post Commander Christian Perrin reported that Lt. Paul Charles Mickolick died after a crash on April 18 in Congress Township—donations for his family can be made at the firehouse in West Salem—while investigators complete their review.  The Daily Record

CULTURE NEWS

  • Ohio Star Theater debuts its original Bible musical, The Road to Damascus: A Musical Journey Through the Book of Acts on May 14 and it runs through Nov. 4 — the play shows Saul’s change into Paul while featuring actors Logan Harper, Matthew Dugan and Annie Heartney along with live animals like Humphrey the camel.  The Daily Record

  • Ohio BMV announced extended hours on Saturday, April 26 and Saturday, May 3 until 3 p.m.—helping residents get a REAL ID before TSA begins enforcing requirements on May 7.  The Daily Record
  • Melinda Hill, a longtime leader at the Wayne County Extension office, is retiring and will focus on personal projects, travel, and family time.
