COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Wayne County Home & Garden Show will return to 199 Vanover St., Wooster on April 26-27 with nearly 200 exhibitors and free admission. The event will feature a plant sale, home improvement ideas, kid-friendly scavenger hunts, food vendors, and more outdoor exhibitors — drawing thousands of visitors from Wooster and nearby areas.  The Daily Record

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Farmers in Wooster are gearing up for the 2025 planting season as dry soils prompt them to follow OSU CFAES advice to start with full-season soybeans before corn. The extension office will host programs on May 16, June 18 and July 15—providing training on parasite management, small grains and dairy operations.  The Daily Record

HEALTH NEWS

  • Dining with Diabetes is a nutrition education series for people with diabetes and their families that will be held May 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Wooster Community Hospital Outpatient Pavilion — OSU Extension and hospital experts, including dietitian Rita Abboud, will offer meal planning advice, new recipes and guidance on managing blood sugar for a fee of $25 per person and $10 for a support person.  The Daily Record
