- ➤ The Friends of Secrest Arboretum will host its annual spring plant sale on May 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Secrest Welcome and Education Center (2122 Williams Road, Wooster) where over 120 plant varieties will be available; a special presale for members will be held on May 9 from 3 to 4 p.m. with a 10% discount. - ➤ Sonnenberg Mennonite Church will hold its 27th annual Maple Syrup Missions Festival on Saturday, April 26 with a sausage and pancake breakfast served from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.—visitors can view over 20 mission displays, enter drawings for prizes, and support a local kids' summer camp. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Wayne Center for the Arts will host its annual Artrageous! event featuring live music by Scott Sopota and Rose Collective—art demonstrations and auctions will also offer funds for arts education. - ➤ Wooster needs over 2,000 new homes so city officials are reviewing zoning changes that may allow duplexes, townhouses and smaller lots while protecting established neighborhoods.
