ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Farmers in Wayne and Holmes counties will begin planting by the end of April as improved moisture levels and a normal spring weather outlook support a timely start to the season. They are advised to inspect their equipment (including marker lights and sprayer nozzles) to ensure safe field operations. The Daily Record
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Wooster City Schools will host a tour of Cornerstone Elementary on Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. to let residents learn about the building's challenges before voting on a May bond issue that, if approved, will fund a new middle school costing $67 million and upgrade aging school facilities—homeowners would pay $120 per $100,000 in property value. - ➤ Mark Goodman, ’90, chairman of the Colorado Nut Holding Company, will be the new chair of the College of Wooster Board of Trustees starting July 1.
