- ➤ Wooster Police said a suspect in a license plate theft fired at officers during a traffic stop that led to a chase and a crash at Cleveland Road and state Route 3 — he was shot and taken to the hospital while law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the incident. The Daily Record
- ➤ During Wednesday afternoon, Wooster, Dalton and Wayne County sheriff's officers joined State Patrol officers in chasing a vehicle that ended north of the bypass at Route 3 + Cleveland Road after shots were fired, injuring one man and damaging several cruisers. The Daily Record

- ➤ Wayne County students in grades K-12 are invited to join the annual Conservation Poster Contest — using the theme 'Home is where the Habitat is' — which awards cash prizes to winners and advances top posters to a state competition.
