EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Killbuck Elementary invites community members to join students for a Columbus Zoo trip on May 19 as a final Right to Read Week celebration before the school moves to its new K-5 building at West Holmes. The Bargain Hunter
- ➤ Ridgewood students will perform The Addams Family at Ridgewood High School from April 17 to 19—performances are set for 7 p.m. on April 17 and 18 and 3 p.m. on April 19. Tickets are available online and at the door, with a raffle if 1,000 sell. The Bargain Hunter
- ➤ West Holmes Middle School robotics teams competed at the Ohio VEX Robotics State Championship at the National Museum of the Air Force in Dayton from March 4-5, showcasing their engineering and teamwork skills. Coach Jeremy Dombrady said the teams gained valuable experience while nearly qualifying for the global competition. The Bargain Hunter
- ➤ Joe Gilmore has been named West Holmes High School's new athletic director and will begin his role on Aug. 1. He brings experience from his work at Waynedale High School (serving as a teacher and assistant athletic director) and is eager to support student-athletes and staff. The Bargain Hunter
- ➤ Millfork Valley 4-H Club held a meeting on March 24 at RUMC where new officers were elected and Nevaeh Mast was named president. The club will meet next Tuesday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. at RUMC. The Bargain Hunter
