- ➤ Wayne County Izaak Walton League’s chapter announced a $1,200 scholarship for students pursuing studies in environmental fields today; applications are due May 15 and available from local school counselors or the chapter’s website. The Daily Record

- ➤ Hummingbirds are expected to arrive in Ohio sooner than usual this spring as migration maps show sightings in nearby states, and locals are advised to set out feeders and red blooms to attract the birds heading north from their winter homes. The Daily Record
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Today, Austin-Bailey Health and Wellness Foundation awarded $181,600 in grants to 13 nonprofits and provided $43,000 in scholarships for health-related studies in Holmes, Wayne, Stark, and Tuscarawas counties; the funding includes a $14,000 grant for a Wooster program by A Whole Community to support local health initiatives.
