- ➤ On March 17, the Tusky Valley Ruritan Club met at the Trojan Center and approved five $1,000 scholarships, discussed repair of a club trailer & set a raffle for a handmade quilt at the Strawberry Festival. Recipients will attend the April 21 meeting at 6 p.m. The Bargain Hunter
- ➤ Revive Wayne County hosted a faith-sharing training on March 7 at Fairlawn Mennonite Church near Apple Creek with about 50 participants from 17 churches, as Pastor Keith Byler led outreach efforts using the G.O.S.P.E.L. method. The group will support Upward Bound Youth’s invitations for motivational speaker Nick Vojicic’s event on May 1 at Greystone Event Center in Wooster. The Daily Record

- ➤ Diesel Technologies students from Wayne County Career Center competed in a real-world diesel skills challenge on March 3 in Seville (setting the stage for SkillsUSA). Christian Thomas won first place as the event prepared students for the State Championship. The Daily Record
- ➤ Jackson Grimmitt won the Ridgewood chess tournament (sixth and seventh grade) yesterday, with Alister Chiapetta finishing second, Blake Bates third, Tegan Freetage fourth, and Gavin Phillips fifth. The Bargain Hunter
- ➤ Acceptance, Support, Knowledge Autism will host its first community conference on Saturday, Apr. 25 at Chestnut Street’s community room from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring presentations by Amanda DeLuca + Dennis Debbaubt, a parent panel, catered lunch, and vendor booths; registration ends April 2 with a $25 fee. - ➤ Buckeye Career Center honored March Students of the Month at a Board meeting; high school winners Annabelle Brewer and Cody Sensbach and adult Tiffiny Thompson were recognized for servant leadership.
