EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ 4-H has begun its season with over 200 project options for youth, featuring new ideas such as needle felting and Knitting It Together — participants may also create custom projects beyond the guide. Visit the Wayne County Extension Office at 428 W Liberty St for details. The Daily Record
- ➤ Girls in grades 7-10 will join B-WISER, a summer STEM camp with labs and college-readiness seminars held June 15-20 at The College of Wooster; campers stay overnight and registration remains open until April 30 for a fee of $660 with limited scholarships available. The Daily Record
- ➤ John Yost advised local farmers to focus on soil fertility after summer drought to boost forage recovery before grazing; OSU Extension will host webinars (sheep series on March 3 at 7 p.m. and bull selection on March 5) plus ag conferences later in March and early April. The Daily Record

- ➤ Vote now in the Wooster Daily Record Athlete of the Week poll to support local athletes from Feb. 23 to 28 — voting runs from 4 a.m. Monday until 5 p.m. Wednesday. Top candidates include Rebekah Keib with 16 points and Briar Cline with 23 points in district finals. The Daily Record
- ➤ Sectional wrestling tournaments held Saturday saw Wooster finish fourth at Massillon Perry with 154 points while Waynedale won the Division III Northeast Tournament at Northwestern with 296.5 points (its eight champions advanced to districts).
