- ➤ A panel discussion for seniors and caregivers will be held at Wooster Library from 1-3 p.m. on March 25. VANTAGE Aging presents a session with local experts on legal planning, healthcare, housing and more - featuring a moderated Q&A and light refreshments. The Daily Record
- ➤ The Mt. Hope Event Center will host the three-day Air Works Auction and Showcase from Feb. 19-21. Auctions start at 8:30 a.m., and a trade show with nearly 300 vendors opens at 8 a.m. The Bargain Hunter
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Wayne County Schools Career Center is accepting nominations for its Distinguished Alumni Awards; forms must be submitted by April 3 for graduates from 2021 and earlier. Winners will be honored at a Senior Recognition Ceremony in May. The Daily Record

- ➤ Waynedale High School named Jay Vitallo as the new head football coach on Feb. 11 after a unanimous school board decision. A 2009 graduate and former Wooster coach, he said he will work to attract more players and build a tougher football program & positive team identity. The Daily Record
- ➤ The OHSAA girls basketball tournament draw will be released Sunday, setting paths for 16 Wayne/Holmes County teams, including Wooster's Division II squad — its matchup details are awaited ahead of next week's contests.
