- ➤ Local nonprofits can apply for GIVE 365 Wayne County grants for housing, hunger and healthcare until March 1. The 10-year program from the Wayne County Community Foundation – a vital resource for meeting community needs – is set to award about $25K in grants. The Daily Record

- ➤ Wayne County Extension offers a free four-part Money 101 series to boost local financial planning. Virtual classes run Feb. 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 12 to 1 p.m., and in-person sessions are held Aug. 5, 12, 19, and 26 at the Extension office on 428 W Liberty St. The Daily Record

- ➤ Realtor.com data showed that in October, Wayne County homes sold for a median price of $251,500, a 5.8% rise from September and a 6.6% increase compared to October 2024. Sales volume grew nearly 20% from last year, reflecting a strong local market. The Daily Record
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Wooster Daily Record’s boys basketball rankings show Orrville and Smithville tied at No. 1 after both teams remain undefeated this season. Other teams, including Triway (three recent losses) and Hillsdale (three wins), are moving up as the season unfolds. The Daily Record
- ➤ At JR Lanes, 38 bowlers competed in match play with 32 advancing and top performer Nathan Norris scoring the best qualifying series.
